To the family of Bill Terris,
Your father and grandfather was my beloved 1st grade teacher and principal at Estabrook Elementary School in Lexington. I was lucky enough to meet up with him later in life and the stories he shared with me about the "good old days" will be forever in my heart. It may sound odd to you, but I loved him dearly and was so grateful that I was able to reconnect with him as an adult. I am holding you all in my thoughts and prayers. He was a wonderful person, educator, and friend.
I will miss him dearly.
Sincerely,
Meg Jackson

Jay and Lisa-
I said to my Mom, Uncle Bill's passing is the end of an era and the closing of a window to childhood and to Cobbett's Pond and Pine Terrace. . I remember hundreds of hours spent on your parents porch listening to Aunt Pat, Uncle Bill, Aunt Jane and my mom laugh till they cried (with guest appearances of my Dad and Uncle Frank). I remember Manhattans and will think of your parents whenever that name comes up. Your folks were a big part of my transition from child to young adult, and I will always cherish that evolving friendship and love.
Hugs from California. Judy
