LENAHAN James “Jim” J. Lenahan, aged 65 years, of Middleboro, formerly longtime resident of Dorchester, died on Wed. December 15, 2010, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Claire (Gallagher) Lenahan; they had been married for 44 years. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Raphael and Gladys (Dowling) Lenahan. Before Jim’s retirement, he had worked as a meat cutter at the Plaza Fish Company II @ Lambert’s, in Dorchester, for several years. Jim served in the United States National Guard, and enjoyed spending time with his family most of all. Survivors include his wife, Claire, two sons; Michael and his wife Ana Lenahan of Middleboro, James and his wife April Lenahan of Weymouth, three daughters; Deborah and her husband John Callahan of Norton, Linda and her husband Chris Garside of Dorchester, Joanna Lenahan of Middleboro, one brother; Bernard Lenahan of Plainville, three sisters; Dorothy Barrett, Susan Lenahan, Barbara Lenahan, all of Quincy, eleven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Raphael Lenahan, and Margaret Kelly. Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held on Saturday December 18 from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 noon at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, MIDDLEBORO, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church , 340 Centre Street, Middleboro, at 12:30 P.M.
