Fred was a good friend of ours. Brian worked with Fred many years ago and Fred would call us on a regular basis. We will miss Fred but he is will his love, Betty.
I was very saddened to read of Fred's passing. Many years have flown by since I knew him as a pharmacy student at U.of M. He was a special person then, too. Did you know he was president of the senior class of Pharmacy?Even then his light shone.
It was such an honor and a pleasure to have known such a wonderful and inspiring gentleman. Whomever had the opportunity to have known him were some of the luckiest people in the world. There will only be 1 Fred Germer, that I truly called my friend. I will miss seeing you in our office. You brought sunshine and love into all our lives and you will always be remember as the man who appreciated everything he had in life. Thank You Fred for being you.
Sorry to hear of your passing Mr. Germer. I would have loved to have met the man who shares my exact name and initials.
What a blessing Mr. Germer was! I used to chat with him at the YMCA in Bradenton. He took his work out so seriously and became a favorite among members and staff. He would always tell me, "I'm so proud of you!" when he would see me working out. It is sad that he is gone but wonderful that he was here in the first place. I know he loved his wife and just wanted to be where ever she was. God speed, my friend. Til we meet again in the next world.
I was heartbroken today to see this, it was passed on by another volunteer. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Germer while he volunteered for Florida's Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program. He was a wonderful, kind and complementary person. I did not know of his past and am amazed of what he had been through, I would have never imagined. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family for their loss of such a wonderful person. Wish I had known sooner so I could attend his services.
Fred was an extremely exceptional man to have working with us at Vanguard Pharmacy. I can truthfully say that his contribution to our organization's character and morale was inspiring. Fred was a true friend and positive role model to every member of management and staff. It was just in his character to be upbeat and helpful to others. Our organization and each of us who loved Fred will never replace nor forget his very positive impact on us. May he rest in peace with his beloved wife, Betty. Our most sincere prayers go out to Fawn and Jim. Fred was very proud of you and spoke lovingly of you often. Thank you for sharing your wonderful Father with us.
So sorry to hear of the Germer's passing. I never saw Mr. Germer walk by me without a smile and a handshake, quite unusual. Our deepest sympathies to his family.
I worked with Mr.Germer for years at SuperX and RiteAid. He was one of the most kindest, most thoughtful and generous people I have ever met. When my mother passed away, he wrote me a letter, because he said he could not find a card to describe how he felt.Such a sweet sweet man. My life was enriched knowing him!
I will be forever grateful that I met this amazing man. What a kind and gentle soul. Fred will be forever loved and missed.
Fawn, May your hearts be filled with memories of joyful times together. Your Dad will be missed as he was the friendly bright sunshine to greet us.

What an inspirational man -- and what an inspirational story. You are fortunate indeed, Fawn and Jim, to have such a man for a father.
