Thank you for a lifetime of great baseball memories. I remember my older brothers often falling asleep in the summers listening to their transitor radios with the Cardinals games going late into the night! All boys in St Louis were in awe of this great player and Cardinal - Stan the Man.

My own sons love the game too - one worked at Ladue Pharmacy about 6 years ago and when Stan Musial walked in one day as a customer, my son was lucky to get an autographed baseball from Stan! It meant the world to my boys. Whenever you'd see Stan Musial around town, he always had a smile for everyone - a great ambassador for baseball and a true hero in our hometown! RIP#6

1946 I was 9yrs old and home sick with toncilides and listened to the Cards beat the Red Sox...Reading sports magazines I found that Stan's birthday was November 21st, the same as mine...He has been my IDOL ever since. He always displayed the BEST sportsmanship I have ever seen...His photo in his batting stance hangs in my house...I will never forget "STAN" the REAL MAN...

My condolences to the entire Musial family at this very sad time. You are not alone in your grief, as hundreds of thousands of St. Louisans are grieving with you. As a native of St. Louisan, Stan was around my entire life, retiring when I was 7. If I saw him play, I don't remember. But his presence in the city never waned as I grew up. There is a void in all of our lives now...one which will eventually be filled with memories of one of the finest human beings ever to wear a Cardinal uniform. But for now, your grief and sadness is shared. So many athletes could have learned so much from him: humility, kindness, generosity, and God and family. Rest in peace, Stan....you were "The Man".

What a treasure St. Louis had in Mr. Musial. As a season ticket holder, for sure opening day will never be the same. Our prayers are with the family and we will always think of our favorite Cardinal. Rest in Peace Stan.
