My condolences to the entire Musial family at this very sad time. You are not alone in your grief, as hundreds of thousands of St. Louisans are grieving with you. As a native of St. Louisan, Stan was around my entire life, retiring when I was 7. If I saw him play, I don't remember. But his presence in the city never waned as I grew up. There is a void in all of our lives now...one which will eventually be filled with memories of one of the finest human beings ever to wear a Cardinal uniform. But for now, your grief and sadness is shared. So many athletes could have learned so much from him: humility, kindness, generosity, and God and family. Rest in peace, Stan....you were "The Man".
