ELDRED - Marilyn L. Bennett, 84, of Newell Creek Road, passed away Tuesday (Dec. 9, 2014) at home following a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 3, 1930 in Sykesville, she was a daughter of Harold L. and Minnie Pifer Himes. On June 6, 1959, in Sinnamahoning, she married Milton E. Bennett, who passed away on Dec. 7, 2010. She had resided in Newell Creek since 1968.
Mrs. Bennett had been employed by Sylvania in Emporium, Truck-lite Co. in Coudersport and Ethan Allen Furniture in Eldred.
Marilyn enjoyed feeding the birds and taking care of house plants. She enjoyed being on-the-go from the time she woke up in the morning until the time she went to bed at night.
Surviving are two sons, Steven (Marie) Smith of Lawton, Okla., and Michael Bennett of Delta; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Elton Himes of Reynoldsville.
The will be no funeral services held. Arrangements are under the direction of the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred.

Very sorry to hear this news. We always enjoyed visiting with Marilyn & Milton. Marilyn was always ready to head to the casino when we were in the area.
