Dear Ms. Brennan, I'll be wearing memories down my back this evening. I'll be wearing memories down my back and say you brought me tremendous joy when you played Irene Malloy to this little girl who visited Broadway!!!! In all seriousness though, I first saw you in "Hello Dolly", and was instantly mezmorized by your talent. I enjoyed following your career, and laughing through every role. You were so gifted and wonderful, and you will be sorely missed. To the family and friends of Eileen Brennan, you have my deepest and heartfelt sympathies, and to you Ms. Brennan, I know you'll keep Heaven laughing. Rest in peace, and God Bless....

My deepest sympathy to your family. May our loving Creator grant you guidance, strength and comfort during this difficult time. He invites us to approach him in prayer, to pour out our heart to him. (Psalm 62:8)

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Brennan family. Eileen was a truly great actress. Loved her on talk shows too!

Dear Eileen Brennan, My first time I saw you in a role was when you played the character of 'Darlene' in the movie 'Scarecrow' with Gene Hackman and Al Pacino. I never tire of seeing that bar scene where you 'stood up' to Gene Hackman's character!! That scene MADE the entire movie for me. You played the boozy, tough-as-nails barfly to perfection..I laughed until I cried..then, when I saw you playing 'Genevieve' in The Last Picture Show, I was awestruck by your ability to take such a character from the pages of a script and to bring her to life so convincingly.. We've all known a 'Genevieve' in our lives. You were able to say SO much with just a look!! or a small gesture..the little things many overlook, but that you obviously studied in your observations over a lifetime..I admired your courage after the accident, and for your strength in breaking free of the addiction that resulted from it. I don't know, I guess all I'm trying to say is that you were not only a great actress, but also seemed like someone I new personally, but never actually met! That is the effect you had on my life..Thank you for the talent you shared with all of us. May you rest in peace and comfort in the arms of the Lord for Eternity!
A Fan to the End, I remain,
Sincerely YOUR's,

I remember her from "Private Benjamin" and many other movies and shows. I enjoyed watching that movie especially because of the scenes with her and Goldie. I would just laugh. She was so cool and so funny. What a good sport and great sense of humor . Her voice was so cool too. Her comedic timing was great. She will be missed.
