Edith and Families: Sorry to read of Bob's passing. Bob always conducted himself as a gentleman and was an excellent craftsman. While living in Vernon, I got to know Bob very well. During the winter months, snow on the ground I would bring coffee and donuts to his shop and sit around the wood stove. You had any woodworking problems, Bob would always have an answer and fix the issue. I loved the way he always came up with a "template" to expedite a job, it never failed. Bob will be sorely missed, and I thank him for being a friend, tutor and mentor over the years.
I was deeply saddened when I learned of Bob's death. His goodness and his deep love of family, friends, church and God made my work as his pastor a real joy. Edith, you and yours are in my prayers.
Dear Edith and family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. In just the few times that I met Rob and family,I knew just what a kind and caring person he was. We so enjoyed the picnic that Deb and I went to, so long ago. The Moose lodge and the Chicken dance. Rob, we will miss you and pray that The Lord will keep your loved ones safe always. Larry and Debby Edwards
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Uncle Rob was a good man and will be missed.
Thinking of you and keeping you close in my prayers. Love you
I really only knew Bob from the Franklin reunions, but my Aunt Lucy Winslow and my mom both always spoke highly of him. This is a true loss for the family. My condolences.
We were saddened to learn of Bob's passing. Keeping you all in our prayers.

Uncle Bob was a great man and will be missed by all who knew him. My prayers go to his wife and family.
The beautiful photos bring back wonderful memories of so many happy times. We will always remember Uncle Bob for his friendship, kindness and unique sense of humor. He was an extremely talented man who kindly shared his knowledge with his family and friends. We mourn your loss, but hold near and dear the many fond memories we have made together over the years. We are thankful to have had you in our lives. May you rest in peace, Uncle Bob. Heaven acquired its newest angel.
My earliest memory is laying on your lap 4th of July when I was 4 afraid of the fireworks. You covered my ears with your hands to comfort me. You took my fear away and made me feel safe. You are the head of our family, the reason we are so close. You are a builder. You have built many things that will remind us of you all around, but the best thing you built was this family. I feel lost without you. As we gather tomorrow to say good bye we will be together some of us have not seen each other in decades. All of us with wholes in our hearts. Thank you Grandpa for all the gifts you have given me. For my family. I love you.
I am proud to say that this wonderful man was my Grandfather. I feel blessed to have had him in my life as long as I have. I've got the memories of a child and the memories as an adult. It will be so hard for me to imagine a world without him in it. I love you Grampa and I miss you so much.
I'm so sorry for your loss of such a wonderful guy. He's always bee a favorite cousin of mine and we all loved him dearly. Love, Elaine
Dear Edith, Cheryl and family:
There is only one way to describe your husband and Dad, he was a wonderful, giving and kind person who did so much for St. Micheal's Parish. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
You will be missed my friend. RIP
Mr. Franklin was such an amazing human being! Not only was he very talented, he was generous and kind. I used to refer to your dad, my father, and Mr. Slate as the triplets because they resembled one another and they could often be found working together on some project for the parish. I've also been lucky enough to know many members of your wonderful family. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Offering our deepest condolences during this time.
