As a classmate we used to see each other in school a lot but after high school we took separate paths which didn't cross much. But when Russ moved to Missing Link Road he began stopping in my office frequently to shoot the breeze... discuss politics, school issues and property boundary issues. I will miss that very much.. Great guy and Italian too.. Great combination ... I will miss you Russ..
Your loving husband was a unique individual whom Lorrie and I will never forget! When I met him 40+ years ago I knew he was a cut well above the usual labor representative and human being. Nothing in the interim has changed my mind. The Greek community has a saying; "May his memory be eternal" His memory will be eternal for many of us. God bless you.

We are sending our best wishes to his family. Judy Cray Konesko and David Chesley
My first memories of Rusty are of him sliding on Ash St on his nifty little wooden sled. I have enjoyed talks with him in recent years, laughing over long ago history and his stories of his children and grandchildren. He was looking forward to visiting them a few days after I last saw him. His love for them was so evident. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
So sorry for your loss. Russ will be missed by many!
My deep sympathy to your family at this time. May you find comfort in knowing that God promises to soon remove death, all tears and sorrow. Isiaiah 25:8. A time to look forward to.

Russell, aka oompa, aka mr minty will be dearly missed by us and our kiddos. He was a pretty exceptional grandpa and I feel grateful that he was part of our lives every couple of months. Thank you for sharing him!

I'm so sorry for your loss Nancy. Wishing you and your family peace, comfort and all the strength in the world.
Russ carried two images. He was the tough school board member that many people were at cross purposes with. He made decisions that were often disliked, but there was another Russ. He was an extremely loving grandfather who was so proud of his granddaughters and often would make the trip to Oregon to be with them. He was a loving husband to Jane whom he carefully cared for and kept close. He was a dear brother to a dying sister never leaving her side as she slipped away. He was a good friend to those who knew him well, and there were many. Many will miss his humor and chuckle and crooked smile. Mae (Elizabeth Chaisson) loved him dearly which was the best testament of anyone's character. She'll take good care of him now as will others. Rest well, Russ and make 'em laugh. I'll miss you too.
Russell will be missed..prayers go out to Jane and family..
