Dear Chealsea,So sad to have heard the news of your sister Molly. I was so touched by the obituary it was beautiful,I felt that we all have lost a very special person, I wish I knew her. Thinking of you and your family. Sincerely Sue North
July 27, 2014
Despite the fact that Molly was a few years younger than my own daughter, she and I bonded over chainsaws and home building projects 3 years ago, and so I was happy to re-make her acquaintance last fall at Duttons. That day, she jotted her name and number on a scrap of cardboard -- a scrap that I pinned to my otherwise bare frig door and have noticed every day since. Beyond the sadness of her loss, it hurts to think that someone so vibrant and warm might have experienced any panic or fear in her last moments. I've taken some solace, therefore, in my sense that Molly had the presence of mind, a faith in something bigger than herself, a wisdom beyond her years, and so dark an appreciation for life's terrible ironies that at least for a second, that mischievous but utterly disarming smile returned to her lips as she thought something along the lines of, although perhaps more colorful than, "seriously?!?"

My deepest condolences to those who knew her best and loved her most.

My sympathy to Molly's family and to her friends--a wide circle (that appears to be growing still) of friendship and grief. My heart goes out especially to the friends who had gathered on July 6 for fun activities on the river. I did not know Molly but am connected to many in the circle of her smile, enthusiasm, and influence and I pray that happy memories, close connections and faith will keep everyone strong at this time and throughout time.
Most sincerely,

I will always remember your brilliant smile and laughter that came from the depths of your heart. You were such an optimistic and compassionate friend. I will forever remember the long summer days spent in Vermont picking salad greens at Amy's and planting potatoes at Molly's with you, visiting you in Ashville on my road trip across the country, and the wonderful Thanksgiving we shared together in Portland. The world has lost a wonderful person. You will always be in my thoughts.
