Pamela A. Moore
1962-2013 Pamela A. Moore, 51, of Cottonwood, AZ, formerly from the Brattleboro area, passed away surrounded by loved ones in Camp Verde AZ, on October 14, 2013, following a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Pam was born in Boston, MA, on Jan. 11, 1962, moving to VT the following year. She attended Whitingham School in Whitingham, VT, graduating in 1979. She lived in several Southern VT towns before moving to Brattleboro, and worked with the elderly as an LNA at Thompson House nursing home. Pam attended Brattleboro's Community College of Vermont, earning an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Studies. In 2003, deciding she'd like a change, Pam moved close to her mother in Arizona and accepted a new job, again working with the elderly, through Nurses Network in Sedona as a CNA, until she became too ill. Pam was truly an angelic spirit and will be lovingly remembered for the way that she communicated with careful consideration, always conveying her thoughts in a soft-spoken, sensitive way. Pam's deep love of her friends and large family was evident to all who knew her, and she maintained her connections by often sending notes and photos "just because." Pam enjoyed jewelry-making, rock-collecting, photography, hiking, family heirlooms, and her two cats, Maggie and Ollie, who were very much like children to her. Pam was predeceased by her father, Fred Moore, on Nov. 21, 1967, as well as her brother Jeffrey Moore on Apr. 23, 1995, and is survived by her mother and stepfather, Esther and Harold Carmody of Camp Verde, AZ; brother Greg Moore of San Francisco, CA.; brother Doug Moore and wife, Carol, of Readsboro, VT.; sister Linda Bolt of Sedona, AZ.; sister Brenda Washburn and husband, Greg, of Bellows Falls, VT; brother Fred Moore Jr. and wife, Linda, of North Haven, CT; brother Gordon Moore and wife, Pamela, of Jacksonville, VT; longtime friend Doug Spaeth of Cottonwood, AZ; as well as many nieces, nephews, and their children. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for Pam will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Jacksonville Community Church at 2 pm, and all are encouraged to share stories and memories with the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a donation in Pam's honor to one of the following: Susan G. Komen for the Cure 5005 LBJ Freeway, Ste. 250 Dallas, TX 75244 Guy Hawkins Cancer Fund P.O. My thought are with the Moore family. Pamela was a student of mine at Whitingham. I will also always remember her as a vibrant cheerleader for the Trojans!!!

Pam held a gentleness, a sweetness and quiet demeanor. There was something euphoric when she spoke and though the words may have long since been forgotten, her presence always remained within. I was happy to see you as a child and more so as an adult. You will always be remembered for that young woman who reached into my soul and touched it. Thank you...

Her physical life on earth has ended but her spirt and passion for life lives on in the many loved one's she has left behind. May the presence of her loving spirit be felt as you celebrate her life. Though tears will flow, embrace in the light that she is now in a better place free of pain. I am certain that she will make her presence known to you. Bless you all
