I live in the house that he grew up in in Tampa and always fell proud of Mr Whitman.

I learned to play honky tonk piano at 14 years old thanks to your Dad and several other great artist. My dad would play 'Indian Love Call" for my new born daughter when she would cry and she grew up loving his music as well. I have his music and was just playing two of his songs for a retirement facility yesterday. Slim was just four years older than my own father. The new world that is promised holds great talent. You are all in our thoughts!

Slim sang it best: "When my life is through and the angels ask me to recall the thrill of them all, then I will tell them I remember you . . ."

A great loss to country music. My dad and I listened to your music on the radio and on records, before we had a television set. Your music will be long remembered in the hearts of many. Rest in the arms of our savior.

My condolances to the Whitman family.

Slim Whitman had an unmistakable voice so you never had to ask who is singing ... you already knew. I still listen to the three cassette tapes i have of him singing, in my car and i've listened to these at least thirty years. I try to take good care of them so i wont break them. He never lost his handsome looks.."in life he was honored and loved. In death he will be remembered" Goodbye Slim Whitman.

Slim had a most unmistakable singing voice unlike any other i've heard in my 70 years. You did not need to ask who is that singing? You knew who it was. i have 3 of the cassete tapes he made i still play them in my car. I think i know every single word to every song on these tapes. I try to take good care of them so they wont break. He sure was one handome man all his life. Never lost those good looks. "In life he was loved and honored. In death he is remembered." Goodbye Slim Whitman.
