Twelve years have passed since that fateful day in 2005. While much has changed in that time, duty, honor, courage, love of family and country, all of which Brent exhibited, remain as important to those who serve today as they did at any time in the past and we can be sure that Brent's life is still defined by the manner in which he lived it rather than the circumstances of his untimely death.
Sent with loving thoughts to all who loved Brent in his lifetime and who love him still.
And yes, I say it again - that smile, and the story behind the wrist band, still bring a smile to all our lives. Thank you Brent.

Brent, I was unable to get online until now but know you are always remembered by me along with Adam Cann Marine, Garrett Gamble Marine and Frank Gross Army. I don't know your family but I have read your story and you are an American hero in my books. I don't need a special date to remember you because you are remembered every single day. I have your name on my board with the others that will never be forgotten. God bless your family and thank you for your service to our country.
