Michael Anthony Jordan, 54, of Brownsville, passed away March 2, 2013, at Sunshine Haven Special Care Facility in Olmito, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his father Bart Jordan. Michael is survived by his mother Rose Jordan, brothers, Gregory Jordan and Dominic J. Jordan. Also surviving are his children, Jessica (Nathan) Ostrander, Michelle Jordan, and Emily Jordan along with several nieces and nephews.
Michael graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in Brownsville, Texas. He received a Bachelor's in Science in Marine Engineering from Texas A&M University Galveston. Michael also received his Coast Guard License for Merchant Marine, ultimately receiving a Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University Kingsville.
Michael was instrumental in the operation of Gio's Villa the family business.
Private services will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michael's name to Sunshine Haven Special Care Facility, 7105 W. Lakeside Blvd., Olmito, TX 78575.

Hey Mike, I am still sailing with MSC. Currently on the USNS WALLY SCHIRRA T-AKE 8. Still gangway up in the Mideast due to the COVID BS.
TAMUG had a 60th anniversary Oral History Project. I added a couple photos from Summer Cruise '82. Good to go through the Aggie album and see the old gang. Good memories.

Gio's was the first job I had after graduating from high school back in 1988. I got to know all the Jordan's and all have had a place in my heart since. I am deeply sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

We were so sad to hear of Michael's passing. Gio's and the Jordan family have always had a special place in our heart's and lives. We celebrated many happy times at Gio's and with the whole " Gio's " family. Michael was a very talented and giving individual. He will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with you.

Mike was a big brother to me, first at college, then in the valley. The Jordan's all treated me as family, and I live them so. My fondest memories are of sailing abroad with Mike on the Aggie Clipper,, fishing with him in our bays, and especially going to Mexico on many occasions. It will feel strange to come to the valley, or Gio's, and not see my brother, Mike. I miss you already..
