John Hall, 48, of Bladenboro and formerly of Smithfield, Va., entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012.
He was the acting Bladen County Deputy Fire Marshal, deputy fire chief of Clarkton Fire Department, a member of the Bladenboro Fire Department, auxiliary for the Elizabethtown Fire Department, worked with the Bladen County Emergency Services, and was the contact person for American Red Cross Disaster Relief in Bladen County.
He is preceded in death by his father, Teddy S. Hall; grandparents, Mose M. and Juanita Mae Hall and John and Ollie Hall; and a special grandmother, Ruby Russ.
He is survived by his mother, Kay C Hagerman of Holden Beach; son, Michael Hall and wife Ashlie of Bladenboro; a stepson, Brandon Rhodes of Virginia; two step-sisters: Sally Mallard and husband David of Georgia, and Karen Clardy and husband Floyd of Texas; two special sisters, Dawn Edwards and Debbie Hickim, both of Virginia; and godmother: Rebeccah C. Biron of Virginia.
A visitation was at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at at Galeed Baptist Church. The funeral was at 1 p.m. at Galeed Baptist Chuch. Burial followed in Pinecrest Cemetery in Bladenboro.
