Sincere condolences to family and loved ones on your loss. May the God of all comfort be with you.
So sad I love the book! =(
Loved The Mixed Up Files. I read it a thousand times. Have the urge to read it again. A wonderful author.
I loved From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. I still turn to my ex-library copy when I need to escape for awhile and have an adventure. Your words will always be here. Thank you for sharing.
Ms. Konigsburg was and still is my favorite children's author. Peace to her and her loved ones. The world of children's literature has lost one of its best.
I read your books to my daughter when she was growing up and we loved them, especially The View from Saturday.
Rest in Peace
My favorite children's author. Rest in Peace.
"From the Mixed Up Files..." was my favorite book as a fifth grader and I read it to my students each year. It is still a favorite and always will be. Thank you for all of your wonderful stories. Rest in peace and God Bless.
MAY GOD GIVE YOU THE POWER AND STRENGTH AT THIS TIME.
JUST A LITTLE WHILE LONGER AND GOD WILL WIPE PAIN, DEATH AND SUFFERING will never exist again.
I loved Mixed Up Files so much that I bought a copy for my daughter and could not wait until she was old enough to read it. Rest in peace and thank you for sharing your talent with the world.
What a wonderful inspiration she was. May she be fondly remembered by the God of all comfort.
Thank your for the wonderful childhood moments I spent inside your imagination. It was truly a blessing and a gift to me.
I read From the Mixed-Up Files when it was brand new and I was in 5th grade. We were required to wrote a note to an author seeking advice about writing. I loved this book and I wrote Mrs. Konigsburg. She sent back a lovely handwritten note that I still have 45 years later and that I shared with my children when I read them this book many years ago. She wrote intelligent books that captured children's imaginations. I am grateful for the impact her stories had on me and on my children!
To the Konigsburg family,
"May the God who gives peace be with all of YOU."
Rest in peace, dear lady. Thank you for the pleasure you have given me. My grandchildren will also be blessed by your wonderful stories.

Her writing shines with love and understanding of children. Her book "From the Mixed up Files..." is a classic. I am sorry for the family's loss.
Thanks for all the pleasure your stories brought, and will continue to bring, to kids everywhere. Godspeed, lovely lady. You lived it well. Sympathy to your family, and friends.
I,m so sorry for your loss. May the God of comfort be with you during your time of grief.
Elaine was a radiant personality who will be long remembered for the many inspiring inscriptions that she wrote in the books I bought for my daughters and granddaughter. Celebrating her second Newbery in 1997 remains a vivid highlight. May her family find comfort in the love of all her friends.
As an elementary school media specialist, I had the honor of meeting Mrs. Konisburg at a conference. I have autographed copies of some of her books that I enjoyed along with my grandchildren. I often recommended her books to reluctant readers.
I read this book for a kiddy lit. class and just loved it. God bless and the family can realize that we'll be reading her books for many a day.
The fifth grade teachers read Mixrd Up Files aloud every day to settle the kids after lunch. One of their favorites. You could hear a pin drop. Got many kids interested in reading more good books.Great tween author.
I was a teacher for 35 years. E.L. Konigsburg's novels were a part of my classroom "read aloud" every year. She was an amazing writer. She inspired me and many many children. I ended every school year with an academic bowl modeled on the one in the story, A View From Saturday. She will always have a profound impact on readers. I hope her books never go out of print. We are all blessed to have known her. She will live on.
Godspeed Ms. Konigsburg. You will live on through your contributions, forever.
"Mixed Up Files" was my favorite book as a middle schooler in 1968. I still carry a fondness for it to this day. E.L. touched many lives in a positive way and will be missed.
