Not sure what to say?

Years ago I was a employee of Christie Mitchell and Mitchell co. In the Houston Club Building on the 12th floor. I was a keypunch operators. They were so kind to me. Thank you.

What a fantastic fellow and a tremendous human being this great George was. Classes in Civics at all levels should devote a lot of space and time to him. I read this eloquent and loving memorial by chance and many years after George´s death. And I am happy to have done so. Spiros Vellas

George Mitchell sounds a lovely family man with really nice interests. The West owes him a considerable gratitude for changing the balance of (oil) power from the East. The fact that the USA is now the leading oil producer in the world is undoubtably due to his perseverance with shale.

I had the opportunity to meet your father on several occasions and as you well know, he was a most generous man. His and his wife's contributions to the Houston/Galveston and the world are remarkable. I enjoyed your obituary very much and it is obvious that you understood your parents well. May the Lord bless and keep you, Respectfully submitted, Arly Nelson, Retired Professor, MD Anderson Cancer Cntr.

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. George Mitchell. I'll never forget that joyous glow he had when my band played "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" for him every year during the Galveston Mardi Gras celebration.
