I just heard the sad news. My parents moved to Depew over 10 years ago and it was always fun to get the call to drive by the house to see how the mannequins were dressed. He was famous! I was out in Niagara Falls at an event a few years ago and overheard a group of people talking about Burt but using his name that the public lovingly knew him as - Mannequin Man - They wondered how he was doing and talked about how much fun it was to drive by, I jumped into their conversation to tell them he had just changed the window! He brought much joy to the world. Your family and Burt will be in our families thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathies in the loss of your father. I grew up just down the street, my parents still live there. Mr. Seliger' s creativity will be missed probably more than you realize. Viewing his latest creation became a tradition for my children and they loved it! It was part of the experience of visiting grandma and grandpa's house. I know there was so much more to the man he was, but I hope he knew how many people followed his displays. He became somewhat of a local landmark. He was a very sweet man and a good neighbor. May he rest peacefully. God bless your family in the coming days -Donna

Deepest sympathy to Burton's family. I knew your dad only through our visit's to Mt. Calvary.I enjoyed speeking to him, as he visited your mom, & I visited my husband.I had missed seeing him around. He was a wonderful man, & was very devoted to your mom, & very proud of his family. It was a pleasure knowing him, & one day, we will all be united in heaven, Sincerely
