Hi Honey, another 21, this one is the December Solstice. Bob and I came to visit you today and put up your Christmas decorations, I hope you see them and like them. It was very wet, it's always wet up there, I know you don't care, but it bothers me, lol. They told us to wait until next spring to put in your stone because the ground is still settling. I hope we can, because I want it to be beautiful for you. I love you so, I think of you nonstop when I'm getting ready for Christmas. I'm making my cookies today, I'm starting on batch #6, only a few more to go. I was remembering a couple of years ago, when you and Corey were going to play hockey and you stopped over on your way. I was making my Christmas M&M cookies and you grabbed about 8 of them and told Corey, try these, my Mom makes the best Christmas cookies in the world. Oh Eric, I would give anything to give you some this year, my precious angel. I have to go, the Bills game is coming on, they might make it to the playoffs this year. This is the first time in 14 years that they've had a winning record in December......I can almost hear you laughing. One more thing, Dylan won his game this morning, he almost scored, that day will be coming soon. He loves it so, and I know you are always with him. Until Christmas my baby boy, I love you, Mom

Missing you so much lately, I know it's just the holidays, but I could sure use one of your big bear hugs. We had our Christmas sleepover last night, we went to Elmwwood Village, and then went to ETS, the kids loved it, they said it's there new fast food place. When we got home, we made cookies and watched Christmas Vacation. Today, we went to Dylan's hockey practice, made ornaments, and went to see Dolphin Tales 2. We had a great time, and Bob just ran them all home. Tomorrow, we have Dylan's 2nd hockey game, oh Eric, you would be so proud. I know you are with us though, I can almost hear you giving him advice. Monday is Bob and mine's 19th anniversary, can't believe it's been almost 20 years. You were only 13 when we got married, but you were the bestest best man we could have asked for. I can still hear you giving that toast to us, you were so nervous, and you did such a nice job. I love you so, my beautiful baby boy, so, so much. Love, Mom

Christmas will never be Christmas without you Eric. They say time heals all wounds but my heart breaks a little more each day. I love you and miss you so much. Life isn't fair.

I know you'd be with us during the holidays laughing and just being you. I miss my brother more each day. Not a day goes by I don't still cry or think of you. You are forever in my heart

I love you more

Happy Thanksgiving Eric, I love you so. I'm busy cooking, the turkey is in the oven, and you are on my mind, wish you were here. I was shopping the other day, and couldn't remember who like crescent rolls, and I'm not sure who it is or if anyone does, but I bought them anyway for you, lol. Have a beautiful day my angel, enjoy your day with Jim, Keith, Kevin, Grandpa, Uncle Don and Nanni. I know you will be with us, but happier and in a better place than we are. Until we can enjoy Thanksgiving together again my sweet boy......All my love, Mom

Hi Honey,

You will not believe the snowstorm we got this week, Sara and Dylan got over 5 feet of snow, I'll send you pictures of your beautiful boy when I get them. Jen and the girls got snowed in too, no one had school this week and I worked from home every day. I've been thinking about the storm we had the one winter when you and Ricky went over to Sky Harbor and made tons of money shoveling snow off of carports. Or the week before Dylan was born in 2007 when Sara slept at our house because Dylan was due to arrive any day and you were working hours and hours plowing out the Galleria Mall. Such wonderful memories of my sweet boy. Tomorrow is National Suicide Survivors Day and we are going to an event at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center. It is a two hour long program, and the second half of the program is a panel of speakers who have lost someone to suicide and they tell their stories. The panel members are chosen from interviews and guess who is the Family Member for this year? Your beautiful sister, Jennifer Ness. She is amazing, and helps me more than you can imagine, although I know you know what a wonderful sister and brother you have. We all miss you so, but we go on because we know that you would want that, and we also know that you are always with us and that keeps us going. I love you honey, so much. Hugs and kisses, Mom

Eric, today is 18 months, one and a half years since I last saw you, hugged you, said I love you. It's funny, sometimes it seems like yesterday, but usually it seems like a lifetime ago. Our life goes on, but is forever changed.
You should see your beautiful boy Dylan, he is growing up to be quite the little man. I was watching him at hockey practice the other morning and it was like I was watching you all over again. You can imagine how that makes me smile all over. He moved up to the Mites,he's #8 again like his Daddy, on the Sabres, and he is thrilled. You would be so proud of him. I know he would give anything to have you there with him, to watch him play one game, but I know you are in a better place and you'll keep him safe and you'll be watching him forever. Halloween is coming up soon, so I'll have to let you know what he is going to be this year.
I love you Eric and I miss you tremendously. They say time makes things easier, I just wonder if there is enough time in eternity because I don't feel it yet. Hanging in there, and sending you all my love, Mom

Hi Hon, it's another 21. Dylan did great today at his first practice, Sara, Bob and I were commenting on how proud you would be of him. He is such a great kid, and he would give anything to show you how good he does. Being on the Mites will be good for him, he's definitely in his age bracket now, last year there were alot of little ones, and he was one of the two tallest. When you and Mark played, you couldn't start until you were 6, but apparently now the age is 4. I know if you had known that he would have been there when he was 4, but who knew. I know you are with him, and I know you will watch over him and protect him, he's an angel like his Daddy. Hugs forever, Mom

Hi Eric, the walk was last weekend and we did great, but I know you were with us and already know that! I'm waiting for Ahren from the union to send me a team picture and I'll put it on here for you. We didn't have quite as many people this year, but we still had a good turnout and we ended up raising more money than last year. We came in third place so we got to lead the walk, we were very proud. You'll never guess who found out about it and he says he will be walking with us every year going forward.........Matt Cybulski!! I know you remember him, #7 from the Saints and one of your first hockey buddies. He came to the walk and we had a great talk, he's a really nice guy, and he sure has some great memories with you. Last night, we had our Fall sleepover with the kids, we had dinner, made cookies and watched a movie, then this morning we got up and we all went to the Strong Museum, we had a great time. The girls have been there before and I know that you took Dylan there a couple of times, so they were our tour guides. We got there around 11 and left around 4, we could have used about 3 or 4 more hours, we flew through the place and still didn't see everything. We told the kids we'll have to go again for round 2. I had a work picnic at Bowen Grove on Thursday night, so I stopped by and said hi on my way home. I'll be coming up tomorrow to bring you sonme fall decor and to give you a new flower. Time for the summer things to go into storage until next year. One more thing, tomorrow is Dylan's first hockey practice with the Mites, he's going to be a Sabre, and he's really excited. Sara was just over here picking him up and telling us that his practices are on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday, and that Saturday practices are at 6 am. I started laughing and told her I remember those days very well, but those will be memories you will cherish the way that I do. I know you'll be watching over Dylan again this year as you always do, and again he will be wearing number 8 like his Daddy. I love you so, I'll be back soon with some pictures my sweet boy. Love, Mom

Hi Honey, I made my goal for the walk, I'm so happy, I know you were helping me. My goal was $888, and I'm almost to $1000. I love you so, I know you will be with us on Saturday my sweet angel. We even got a shirt for Hope, a little doggy hockey jersey! I can hear you laughing at that one. I love you my sweet boy, Mom

Our world lost a great man, but heaven gained him. I am thankful that I was able to know Eric during his middle and high school years. Know that he was always smiling and his energy was contagious!!! I wish his Mother and Father nothing but love and sympathy. To his children, know that your Dad will always be with you in spirit. My deepest condolences. Melissa, Denver Colorado
