To the Kirk Downing Family,
My deepest symapahy in the loss of such a great humorus person. As J.C.I Senator #09495 i ist meant Kirk at are Buffalo area Senate Club monthly dinner gatherings. He was always the life of the group who stories made you laugh almost every time. The honor he rose in the Jaycee movement as a National U.S. Vice President and Canditate for U.S. President very few have ever done.
He will sadly be miss by all former Jaycees and Jaycee Senators..

It hurts me very much to learn of the passing of J.C.I. Senator Kirk Downing #09495.I met Kirk approximately twenty five to thrity years ago thru our local Buffalo-Niagara J.C.I.Senators Club.I always enjoyed his Jaycee stories from the local to the internaional level.I was very impressed to know too,that he was a candidate for the of Ukited States Jaycee President.Inaddition to his sense of humor,that after I was admitted to the nurseing home on the campus of Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo,I always appreciate his numerous visits to come and see me.Truely,I will miss him.Rest In Peace.

Dear Barbara and Cousins,
So sorry about Uncle Kirk. He was such a great guy. He always had a positive word and smile to share. He will be missed. We will keep you all in our prayers. Mary Jo's post was spot on. They are all together and we all continue what they started.

My Dear Cousins,
What a sad day this is for all of us. Not only because you lost your wonderful Dad but because we have lost all of those who guided us through life and made us the kind, caring adults we've become. I took comfort knowing Uncle Kirk was around....and now we are all alone. We will be content with the memories we have of all the holidays and celebrations we spent together with Mae and Joe. They are all together now. May God rest their souls as they watch over us and our families. Love you all.

When I attended my first state Jaycee meeting, it was State President Kirk who got my Jaycee juices flowing. While I'm not sure if he should be praised or blamed for that, for me he was always "The Man". I later had the pleasure of teaching computers to both Joanne and grandson Brad and enjoyed many First Thursdays with him. My heartfelt condolences to Barbara and the rest of the family. He will be greatly missed.

I'm crushed, I'm heartbroken and in total shock at the passing of "our" dad. What a great man he was. I will NEVER forget his smile, his laugh and his "be home early!" every week. What a great man he was. My second Dad, the apple of your eye! Keep all those memories in your heart. Even though he is gone, he is with you every second of every day. We all know that he loved all of his kids and grand kids, and both of his wives. He was very lucky to have 2 great women in his lifetime, and Barb and Mom were lucky to have him.
