On the anniversary of Uncle Herman D. Spencer we will pray for his soul and remember how he loved my Mother's cooking and would always show up at our house for supper.

I remember when my mother was in the hospital, Uncle Sonny was so kind to
me when I arrived in Buffalo to visit her, knowing how hard it was for me to see her
he walked me in, as he knew the shock would be overwhelming.
Uncle Sonny was so gentle and loving when he said he couldn't go further....
This memory will always be my favorite among many others.
I'm so sorry we couldn't be with you Sean, so I leave you with this prayer for my Uncle Sonny.
O my God ! O Thou forgiver of sins, bestower of gifts, dispeller of affections!
Verily, I beseech Thee to forgive the sins of such as have abandoned the physical
garment and have ascended to the spiritual world.
O my Lord! Purify them from trespasses, dispel their sorrows, and change their darkness into light.Cause them to enter the garden of happiness, cleanse them with the most pure water, and grant them to behold Thy splendors on the loftiest mount.

Never had the pleasure of meeting Herman. But I do know he raised a wonderful son in my colleague Sheldon. My condolences to all his family and friends.
