On behalf of the members of Western Zone of New York State Retired Teachers' Association (NYSRTA) sympathy and prayers are extended to Mr. Fahey's family and friends. In his name a donation will be made to the Robert DeCormier Fund of NYSRTA, which assists retired educators in need. May he rest in peace!

We were saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Fahey our World War II Hero. Our thoughts and prayers to the Family. We were honored to have escorted Mr. Fahey to see his memorial along with his son on October 22, 2011 in Washington, DC.

I knew Jack when he lived on Spring Street, where my mother still resides. The elderly tenants used to gather in the sitting room and trade stories, exchange photos, and laugh at the young residents, always in a hurry. May God be good to him.
