Such a great teacher! You will be missed.....

My favorite teacher and coach. I joined track just because of him. Wonderful sense of humor and a joy to be around. I enjoyed getting yelled at by him! Pete, you left your mark on this world and you will be missed! our prayers to you and your family.

I was so saddened to hear of Coach T's passing.I had the privilege to sit and visit with him a couple times over the past years, most recently in December of 2009, and share with him what a tremendous influence he had on me, as a young man, and now as a teacher and coach. Coach T always pushed and challenged his students and players to give their very best, and he was loved, respected and admired for it. He has left me with so many wonderful memories of my high school years, in the classroom and on the field. I feel fortunate and blessed to have known him, and I'm thankful for the lasting impact he has made on my life. I mourn your loss. You'll be greatly missed Coach. Kevin Lafferty

Remembering a great man

Mr. Tamutus had a huge heart and a wonderfully sarcastic wit! I have spoken of him often in my adult life and always with a smile. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the Tamutus family.

Pete, I'm sorry that the years went by so fast. I'm ashamed that I didn't try to get in touch with you. We talked once since we left Bishop Neumann High in June of '67, now you're gone and I have one friend fewer. I kept hoping that you'd show up at one of the BNHS Class of '67 reunions so we could relive the fun and camaraderie that we shared on the golf course over 45 years ago. I mourn your loss and I rejoice in the memory of good times shared so many years ago. Rest in peace.

This is sad news but it is with gratitude that I say Coach T had a great and positive influence on many of us at EAHS in the class room and athletic fields. I credit Pete with making us all tougher and he had a big heart. Time he spent with me has had a positive influence all my life. He will be missed and I sympathize and mourn your loss. Kelly Green
