I am so sad, I just discovered this. What a wonderful man and student was Richard. He was always so helpful, there in a flash if you needed him, now a guardian angel for sure.

To the family of Rick Runfola,
My deepest sympathy to you for your loss. I am Stephanie Szklany, dance teacher and owner of the Dancenter in Medina,N.Y. I would like you to know that Rick was always so kind and helpful to me. Whether I was in the shop or ordering supplies on the phone, he was always so nice and would do anything to make my job easier. I will miss him. God Bless, Stephanie

To the Runfola family and especially to Stacey, you have my deepest sympathies for the loss of Rick. I never have the right words to describe my feelings but I will miss that man. Stacey may God bless you with strength during this time of mourning. Mr. R and Mrs. R may you know peace that Rick is at home with his maker. I will always smile when I think of him and your family. Love you all, Dollie Hubbard Mallo, your most frequent employee

I just learned of Rick's passing and I wanted to let you know how much Rick and his dad (and family) had an impact on me as a kid and as an adult. I will always remember going downtown to Bailey Slipper Shop with my mom for everything from dance shoes, to sequins, to hat elastics. What a legacy and what a great family who made EVERYONE feel welcomed and valued customers.
When I moved to Pittsburgh it was Rick who helped to donate dance apparel items for my inner city dance program. I will never forget this.
I moved away from Buffalo, but Bailey Slipper Shop will always remain a fond memory in my heart. Even since I moved to Erie, PA Rick has helped me out on many occasions in locating shoes, leotards, tights, and various other costume needs. He always seemed happy to talk to me as if we just saw each other the other day.
I am sorry the world has lost such a kind heart, yet he has touched many people's lives. For that you should be happy and proud. He was a good man.
My condolences to all of the Runfola Family.
