Bill and I worked together at IBM for many years and he was an outstanding colleague. More than that though he was a dear friend and brother in Christ. While I miss him down here it will be a blessed reunion when we meet again.

What a shock to hear about Bill's passing. He was an excellent leader in the National Black MBA Association and a wonderful colleague of mine at IBM. I could never get him to smile for photos, yet I could tell he always carried a smile in his heart. Cynthia - thank you and Bill for opening up your home to us for the Christmas party all those years ago. You were such an inspirational couple. I hope the happy memories of the years you spent together will comfort you during this difficult time.

Bill was a great mentor to me. As I learned to be an adjunct at Bryant and Stratton, he guided me - and his love for the students taught me much. To this day, I consider myself the "night teacher in Bill's Room". He touched the lives of so many. It was an honor to teach with him.

Prayers and Condolences go out to the Battle family during this time of sorrow. Mr. Battle was a terrific teacher and friend!! He was a great part of my education and one of the main reasons I was able to obtain my Associates Degree!!! He will be sadly missed!!

Bill's death is really difficult because he is a childhood friend who was so kind and caring through the years. I was fortunate to know Bill from School #74, Bennett High School, and later at Bryant & Stratton College. Bill touched many lives during his lifetime and he truly made a difference. He has earned his reward! Rest in peace, my friend.
