My Dear Second Family,

I know that no words can express how sad this is. I will always remember Young Will as a great kid and an excellent man. I have never met anyone so brave. My heart and my prayers are with you always.

I can't express the sympathy I feel for all of you. Losing someone so young and full of life isn't fair.

Thankfully his long struggle is over and he can be at peace in a better place.

I did not know William, or any of his loved ones, but I work for CBP in southern CT and his story came across our intranet...Of course it grabbed me; a life taken so young never seems to make sense. Its sounds like William was a wonderful person who made a beautiful mark in his 27 years. I am truly, truly sorry for your loss.

Lindsay, Bill, Debbie, Chrissy and Mamma Rapp, Words cant express the pain and sorrow you are going through. He was loved by many and was so proud of his family. We have known him many years and watched him grow into the great young man that he was. He fought this disease with courage and I know how proud of him you all were. I hope the memories, even though nearly not enough live on in your hearts and give you some sense of peace and understanding. We may not know why now but everything happens for a reason and someday we will know why. Its not good bye, its until we meet again. Love you all- Grace, Joe, Ryan and Juliana

I was so proud to have known you when we were both student workers way back in the day and I was so happy to see you when you made it back home. Your courage, resilience and strength are inspiration to us all. We now have another Angel watching over us from above and you are truly an Angel of Courage Bill. You will be missed every day. May God bless your wife, mother, father and family with the strength they need. You lived your life in service to others. We have the watch from here my friend.

Dear Billy,
I have no doubt that your beautiful spirit will linger on and guide your family through this difficult time. You were always so humble and sweet... Thank you for always looking out for me and Christina. Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for always supporting and cherishing your sister and your family. They are so incredibly proud of you. ..may you rest peacefully and walk alongside Jesus to help guide your wife and family always. You were like a big brother to me growing up... And I'll always cherish your kind smile and gentle spirit. ....sorry for all the times me and Christina kept you up late with our obnoxiousness... You were always the best sport. You'll be terribly missed and never ever forgotten. You're a truly honorable man.

...Love you Billy, always.
