I'm very sorry Denny, to have learned of your passing. I just watched the documentary and was googling you to see whether it would be possible to meet you. I wanted very much to shake your hand. Very best, Frank

I will never forget you. Rest in peace. Thank you for everything you have ever done. When times are tough, i think of you and that quote you used to always say. "Your attitude determines your altitude". Love you forever

I never knew or even met Mr. Fitch. I only know him from that miracle in Sioux City. 185 souls owe their lives to Mr. Denny Fitch and the rest of that amazing flight crew. No one should have survived except for the exceptional skill of Denny. It's astounding to think that that aircraft even LANDED at all. By all rights, it should have FALLEN from the sky -- save for an exceptional and brilliant pilot, Denny Fitch.

The 111 who sadly didn't survive now have the chance to shake Denny's hand, smile and say, "Thanks, heck of a job."

You've traded your flight wings for angel's wings, guiding and guarding pilots everywhere.

RIP, Denny.

I just now found out you passed... I'm a young pilot in training and you are a big inspiration to me. I hope that I have the courage and bravey that you had in 1989. Rest in peace and look over us future pilots! my heart is heavy knowing you're gone.
