As with many of the beloved actors and their characters on the Andy Griffith Show, George had achieved the iconic comedic status of worldwide recognition. He did it by being simple, sweet, and absolutely hilarious. From his first appearance ("Judy, Judy Judy!") to "I got me a talkin' dog!" we remember, we smile, laugh, and continue to watch the finest television show ever made. For all the fans that understand the ease of watching an Andy Griffith episode we know we've seen dozens of times (or more) and still laugh like we're seeing it for the first time, thanks Goober, thanks George...we will all miss you.
