My thoughts and prayers go out to Don's family. I was so excited when I bumped into Don at the Hyde Park VFW earlier this year. It was so great to see him and talk to him again. I kept going back and looking but never found him again. I'm so glad I got that chance. What a hero he is.

Lynne, Tim and Todd,
My thoughts are with you as you move through this difficult time grieving the loss of Donnie. I have many vivid memories of trips with my dad up to your house. What a hoot it was listening to those two laugh and carry on like kids. They could never get enough of telling each other jokes and stories of the teaching days. Remember to always keep his memory alive!!
Lynne and family,
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Don was one of my favorite teaches and coaches. He had a positive effect on my and many other of his students life's.

Instead of going to study hall, I used to go in the gym and play H.O.R.S.E. with the Coach, I learned a lot from him~So sorry about your loss
Lynne,Tim, and Todd
We are so sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was a very special person and will be missed by so many. He left his mark on Lamoille Union High School and everyone who has passed through its doors. That legacy will continue to live on every time anyone steps into our gymnasium. Just look up and you will be able to remember your own personal memory of time spent with "COACH" Messier!!! Always remember, "he is not gone, he is just away" A small part of Don lives on in everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
Lynne and family. Thinking of you all alot after the passing of Don. I am proud to be able to say that I played basketball for him in the 1968-1969 season. He taught us all alot. Coach Messier will be missed by all.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Messier Family. Mr. Messier was such a wonderful teacher and coach. He always pushed you to do your best and his dedication to LUHS athletics was unmatched.

Donnie was my lifelong friend, we grew up together in Colebrook NH and had much of the same interests. He was always the life of the party and loved by all. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lynn, Todd and Tim. He was the best.
I only spent one year at Lamoille Union and knew Todd also. Mr Messier is one of those people I just never forgot. He definitely influenced my life.
I will miss Donnie so very much. His infectious laugh and his dedication to his students and how he just cared so much about all of us. Donnie was all heart and everyone that knew him knows this. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to be part of his family for as long as I have. One of the kindest most generous of people I know. His warmth and good sense of humor could fill up a room. All my love to Lynn, Todd, Lisa, Tim, and especially Jack. I'll never forget the joy on Donnie's face when Jack was born.
Love to you all.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Stuart and I are saddened to hear of Donny's passing. The suffering is over for him and now Donny is in a better place. Hold on to those precious memories. He is a great guy who will be missed by many. You are in our prayers and thoughts daily.
Dearest Lynne and family, I hope you feel my hugs and my arms wrapped around you. I pray for you to have strength to get through the rough days.

Didn't ever get the opportunity to meet Don but have heard some very caring and loving stories from Lynne. Everyone hold on to those fond memories and take care of each other. Thinking of you with love.
Everyone who knew him loved him. He was a wonderful person, teacher, and coach. I spent so many years watching him coach boys basketball at Lamoille. We would always see he and Lynne out at lawn sales on the weekends looking for the best deal. He will be sorely missed. Love to Tim, Lynne and Todd and family. Anne
