She will always be with you. Just close your eyes and feel :)
Im so so sorry for your loss Eric. Im here if you need to talk :)
Hello Mom! Today is Mother's Day and I was thinking about you. It's a beautiful sunny day, so I took your picture outside and rested it between the new blooms, because I know how much you loved flowers. I will be remembering what a wonderful mom you were. I love you and miss you always!
In the company of other Angels;
Dear Mom: It has been a year since your soul left this Earth. Not a single day passes by that I don't think about you. You departed with the Spring season newly upon us and the weather is pretty much the same today - as it was the day we said goodbye. This morning, I went to St. James Cathedral to honor and remember you. As I walked up the stone stairs to the entrance of the cathedral, the skies were grey and the rain was falling, but the cherry blossoms above reminded me of a new beginning. Although everyone tells me that you are always with me, I do believe that...but there is still an emptiness that I feel. I left church today enlightened by a scripture that I read: "Faith is the confidence that we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. - Hebrews 11:1. With these words, I have a glow in my heart feeling confident that Jesus is looking after you. I have a candle burning brightly for you today and I hope you are looking down upon us - IK HOU VAN JOU ALTIJD! XOXOXOX
Dancing in heaven now free of the darkness and pain Rest well a friend to all.
What lovely words Eric. I'm sure that your mom is smiling down at you and feeling SO proud to be your mom!!
HARTELIJK GEFELICITEERD THEA! Today is my mom's birthday. To honor Thea's special day, I went and bought her favorite chocolate cake and put 8 candles on it to symbolize that she has been gone for 8 months already. I also sang happy birthday to her and let her know that I still think about her everyday. Thank you mom for all the birthdays you made special for me over the years. I love you always and have a candle burning bright for you today!
During my mom's battle with Alzheimer's Disease, I wanted to make sure that her life was as "normal" as possible - or at least make sure that she would have some kind of happiness to look forward to on a regular basis. My mom loved going to the Royal Canadian Legion! Whether it was for socializing with friends, going dancing, or enjoying a beer or two, that particular venue had been her source of entertainment for many years. Unfortunately, due to the progression of the disease, it became increasingly difficult to arrange a "night out" according to plan. Then one day, I was faced with having to look for a companion (and hopefully a friend) all wrapped into one. A "super" person, someone that could not only accompany my mom to the legion, but also watch over her throughout the evening. Much to my surprise, this was a very challenging order to fill. Then one day, God sent me an angel and her name was "Lan". This lady went over and above caring for my mother - every step of the way! For several years, she would pick Thea up weekly from the care facility and accompany her to the legion, and then take her back home at the end of the evening. Some nights, it was nearly impossible to either get my mom ready to go (and actually go) and if Lan did end up having success in getting her to the legion, it was a problem getting her back home. Despite the incredible challenges Lan faced with my mom, she hung in there. Laughing together, singing together and even dancing together was a regular event for Lan and Thea. Unfortunately, Thea eventually faced physical challenges that would conclude any further nights out. Lan is living proof the angels do exist and I will never forget this very special lady who helped make my mom's last days as enjoyable as they could be. Thank you, Lan - you are a beautiful human being.
I am honored to have shared a small part of the last act of a wonderful life. In many ways I could only read the reviews of a spectacular life, but I have seen the lives that you have touched and continue to influence.

Your spirit will live on for many curtain calls.
