June 11, 1993 – March 2, 2016
Beloved son of John and Diana Shaw and loving big brother to Nikki passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Dylan was a devoted and loving son, brother, nephew and friend to all who knew him and will be missed tremendously. Dylan was predeceased by his grandparents C. Ray Shaw and Bea Shaw and James and Marjorie Boulton. He is survived by his parents, John and Diana, his sister Nikki, his aunties Marianne, Shannon and Pat, his uncle Don and his cousins. He is also survived by his other "brother" Dan and all his friends that he treasured so much. Our hearts are broken. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. John, I am so sad to hear about the passing away of Dylan. I enjoyed Dylan's company when he occasionally came with you on the job. I will remember him as a very pleasant, thoughtful, kind, happy young man who loved his Father. Please accept my deepest, heartfelt condolences. We are thinking of you and your family and it is so hard to process your loss.

It's still hard to believe he is gone. I'm glad I was able to meet some of the people today who's life's Dylan touched. I had the privilege to work with Dylan at the Co-op gas bar years ago. He was a true friend to everyone that knew him. Definitely one of the kindest, purest people I have met. It was just about seven years ago when I lost my job at co-op and he insisted that he would pay for my now wife (who also worked at the gas bar) and I to still go out for our first anniversary together and he wouldn't take no for an answer. That just shows you the kind of person he was, always there for the people around him. He will be truly missed, and always remembered by everyone he has met.

Such a young and amazing human being gone way too soon.. I remember the first day of theatre tech and sitting next to him and becoming friends immediately, he had that affect on everybody around him and he will be missed greatly.
