Diana was a dear friend of mine going back as far as our university years both in Nelson and University of Calgary. She lived with me and two other roommates while attending university. She was always very positive and had a very contagious smile. She read and knew her Bible well and we had many interesting conversations about our Catholic religion. I had just visited and had lunch with her this last summer and will always remember the good times we had together. I was extremely saddened by this news and am sorry that I did not know about her illness to be able to go and visit her in the hospital. May God bless her into her new home.

Diana was my best friend in grade school and high school. I was so sad to hear of her passing. She was a kind and loving friend to me always and I will be forever grateful to have had her in my life. She was a special person and everyone who knew her was lucky to have her as a friend. I will miss her forever!

I remember Diana so well. A kind, caring person who loved those she taught. She always had a good word to say about everyone. Such a smile. Glad to have known her although it was many years ago.

Very saddened to learn of Diana's passing. Diana was a long time friend of our family. We will always remember her for her independent spirit, her gentle soul and her kind heart. She was an especially devoted friend to our elderly mother (Dorothy) until her passing in 2012. Her kindness will always be remembered. Our sincere condolences to all of her family.

I knew Diana many years ago when she was teaching ECS in the Marlborough community program. I was also teaching there and Diana was a well respected colleague. She taught my youngest daughter, Yuriko. My sister-in-law, Jane Yamamoto, was her teaching colleague and spoke very fondly of her friendship with Diana. Diana was short in stature but had a huge heart.
