Dian and Family,
I just heard the news yesterday and am greatly saddened. I am thinking of you all and remembering the good times. Although it has been twenty years, it feels like yesterday that I stood beside him in front of the dart board, with his impish smile and twinkle in his eye, hearing him rejoice - ONE EIGHTY!
He was one of those people who touches your life and are fondly remembered forever.
Dian & Family,
I just learned of Bill's passing and am very saddened to hear this news. I would like to pass on my condolences.
Bill was a great friend of our family many years ago and I will always remember his infectious personality. He was always fun to be around . I will especially remember the dart tournaments for "All the Marbles"

Not sure you'll recall us ... we were you're neighbours (the Vouri's) on Bulyea Road. I was the older daughter, with two much younger brothers - Cameron and Kurtis. I remember Bill's smiling face and contagious laugh. Your family was always so happy. My sincerest condolences in your loss. I know Bill's memory will live on ...
Dian and family.
We were touched by todays service and especially the the tributes given. It made us proud to be in attendance and helped us reflect on knowing Bill. Motorola was many years ago, but a fond part of my life as was my association with Bill.
Rich and Anne
The beautiful montage of Bill's life reflects his love of family and friends. My deepest sympathy to you Dian and the children and grandchildren.
Time goes by too quickly. It seems only yesterday that a group of us, all disfunctional to a certain extent, became wards of our beloved Xerox sales manager Bill Goods. It was in fact the early 70's. Bill was our leader, our coach and our mentor. When it was time to leave Xerox , in pursuit of different challenges, the transition was made easy and rewarding by Bill's teachings .
My only regret is that I did not verbalize to Bill my sincere appreciation and love for a man who cared for us so much and drove many of us to rewarding careers and lives..
Our team of misfits held Bill in the highest regard sometimes to the detriment of his career.
I thank you Bill and send my sincere sympathies to Dian and family.
You have lived a wonderful life.
Dian & Family,
Bill was a great member of our Stampeder family and an amazing individual - he will be missed! My sincere condolences to you and your family.
Bill you were an amazing man, the city of Calgary and all of minor football will miss you greatly. Dave Rutherford
I enjoyed a short visit with our great neighbour when we were fixing up our house in Dalhousie last year. Bill shared some of his health concerns. It was so good to see him! Our prayers are with his family and especially for the memorial time with family and friends today. Your friends and neighbours...Allan & Judy Dunbar.
I have many fond and lasting memories of our team at the University of Tulsa where Bill was our fullback and kicker. As freshmen, while playing a night game at Ft Scott, Kansas, time was running out when our coach asked if anyone could kick a field goal. Bill volunteered and drilled it as time expired. We won. He had a winning life and will be missed. Condolences to his entire family.
Jeff Jordan, former player at Tulsa and the Minnesota Vikings.
Dian, notified of Bill's passing by a friend in Calgary. So sorry to know that Bill fought cancer to the end. Many memories of days past are rekindeled at this time. God Bless.
He will be sadly missed. It was a great pleasure to have known him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Goods family in their time of loss and mourning. Bill Sr. and family welcomed me and my children into their home like we were family. I will never forget that. Bill Sr. will be sadly missed by all that knew him. RIP Bill.
Our deepest sympathies to you and your family. Our prayers are with you.
Dian and Family, Heather and I wish to convey our deepest sympanthies to you. We were very close, as Xerox Teams were back then, in the Mid-seventies. So many wonderful memories! In his passing we have the opportunity to celebrate his life, and to provide hope and encouragement to the Family left behind.
Respectfully, and with Love, Jack and Heather
Dian and family:
My prayers go out to you at this time....sincere condolences.
Dian, so sorry to read about Bill's passing. It is evident that he will be missed by many and most especially by all of the family. We only met Bill a few times through our friends, Bob and Brenda, but we know from all the stories what a special person he was... a generous volunteer, a great husband, father and friend. We wish you all the best during these difficult times. Jack and Arlene Connell
Our deepest sympathies go out to you and your family Dian as we mourn Bill's passing and cherish the many memories we have of him. May the strength of the Lord be with you today and forever more.
Dian, Billy Jr., Katheryn and Kim,
Marilyn and I were holidaying in Los Cabos, Mexico and were shocked and saddened when reading of Bill's passing on the internet. We will always treasure the great memories of the times our families shared together as they were growing up. Camping together and the fishing the boys did on the Bow River. I remember that Bill was the first one who came to our home when Grandma Cameron passed on and what Bill shared that day. We are at our Mesa, Arizona home for the winter and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. From The Cameron Family - Don, Marilyn, Blair, Cheryl and Bonnie
Bill was a great "boss" and over the years, proved to be an even better friend. Bill was always a glass-half-full kinda guy, and a true gentleman. I will miss him and his unique sense of humor.
Bill made a lifelong impact on everyone he met. I recall a student counting down until "Pa Goods" would be back to mentor him towards making positive choices. I also admired the relationship he had with his family. He will be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time.
Dear Dian - A very tough time for you all. I hope the story telling and laughter about Bill will begin to fill the hole left by his death. And stories and laughter there will be. Bill's exuberance, energy, humour and decency are such markers of his life. Best to all of you. Dariel Bateman

Bill and I had an unusual friendship. Our friendship began at age 12 and through Mount Royal and later at The University of Tulsa. While we never socialized together Bill and I frequently met through business and most recently at a Canadian Tire Store. What a fabulous guy whose profile and success never modified his mild manner and approachability. I know we are better for the joy of knowing this man.
Bill was a super guy to be around and he will be missed by many people. rest in peace Bill!!

Dian. Bill was an absolute gem to me and have so many fond memories of working together on the Stampeder Alumni Golf tournament and will fondly remember all the "pre course inspections" that Bill arranged. He truly was a remarkable man. I will miss him greatly.
Dear Dian and family,
I was very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was so fun-loving and warm-hearted! It was always a pleasure to be in his company because he made everyone feel welcome and special. He will be at your Christmas table this year in your hearts and your memories. My thoughs are with you at this time.
Our memories of Pa and the Goods family will ever be remembered by their love of life and their loving and caring spirits. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. May you always cherish your memories and remember him.
I have many memories of "Pa" as I remember him being affectionately called. I can recall attending Brittany's countless birthday parties and sleepovers at Pa's house, with making particular use of the pool! He was always such a kind and loving man and would cook up hot dogs for nearly every occasion that Britt asked for. Pa will be missed dearly and my condolences go to the entire family. May you always remember the memories you made with Pa and always remember is kind and loving spirit. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was a very professional gentleman. I met him on many occasions with Motorola. Unfortunately he was working out of Calgary and I was in Toronto and I didn't get to see him as often as I would have liked to but he always brought the good old Western flair when we met during meetings in Toronto. I have many good memories of those days. My deepest sympathy goes out to his wife and family. John Travers

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Bill will always be remembered as a man who lived life to the fullest.
Dear Dian and Family,
I have been with you in spirit through this long and valiant stuggle with one of my favorite people. Bill's personality is not easily forgotten. His patience and generosity while hosting (with you) those wild Ranchlands' staff pool parties were commendable. And... I would always have you and him do your beautiful rendition of "St. Louis Blues". I'd like to think that he and Bert are having a mean round of golf on the big course in the sky.
Dear Diane & family,
So very sorry to hear of your sad news. I know that your fond memories will keep him alive in your hearts forever. Thinking of you during this very difficult time.

Mrs. Dian Goods & Family
On behalf of the Calgary Stampeder Football Club's Ownership Group; Co-Chairman, Ken King; Co-Chairman, John Forzani; Governor, Doug Mitchell; President and Chief Operating Officer, Lyle Bauer; Head Coach and General Manager, John Hufnagel; management; coaches; players and the entire Calgary Stampeder family, we are deeply saddened by the loss of your husband Bill.
The Goods family will be faced with enormous and profound adjustments. These adjustments will be such that they affect the whole being. The path of grief, hurt and finally acceptance will take time and is one that each member of the family must travel alone. You are fortunate that your family and friends are close and each in their own special way will help others.
I, like so many, was fortunate to have known Bill as a friend and as a member of the Calgary Stampeders' football fraternity. I have been blessed in my life to meet people like Bill Goods that made a difference. Bill's dedication and longstanding commitment to the Calgary Stampeder Football Club and the Calgary Stampeder Alumni Association are a rarity when compared to the selfishness and individualism so prominent in sports today.
Bill is truly a gentleman and always found time to show a genuine interest in the people that he met. I first met Bill in 1965 when I was a player with the University of Calgary Dinos football team. I am truly thankful for his support throughout my longstanding career with the Calgary Stampeders. I will forever cherish his wisdom and friendship. We only go around once and it's nice to go around with good people and good friends.
However, a more important statement about Bill and the kind of person he was is what he left behind. Bill is such a lucky person to have a caring family and friends. How proud he is of you; his son, Bill Jr.; his daughters: Katheryn and Kim; his grandchildren; and family. What greater satisfaction is there in life? People are better off today for knowing Bill Goods.
Knowing all to well the tough times that lie ahead, empathy for the Goods family is strong. Remember the good times that will always be there to remind you, for they will help you through the many hurtful moments. Hold these memories fast. Soon they will help you remember with a smile. Bill lives on in your life and the lives of others who knew him.
Our sympathy and prayers are with you and your family.

Dian and Family: Please accept our deepest condolences, from our family to yours. Dad and I will cherish the memories, laughs and "the look" Bill always gave us after a bad play at the Stampeders games, and the joy on his face when the Stampeders won. He will forever be in his seat on game day, and missed by all. Forever a Stampeder.

I am one of the 2 surviving sons of Bill's wife Dian's older brother Larry Frank Bennett. My name is Jeffrey Laurence Bennett, the younger of Larry's 2 sons and currently living in Tulsa, OK. My memories of Bill include the year 1979 when his wife Dian graduated from college and we all had a family cookout at LaFortune Park here in Tulsa. Bill & Dian also attended my grandparents' 50th anniversary in 1982. I made a visit to his hometown Calgary, Alberto Canada in August 2003 to spend some time with Bill and his family. We have never had such a great time hanging out together watching Canadian football and going to the Banff mountains.
