To the Grant Family,

We are so sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was a dear friend to us over the years and we miss him.
Your father was very proud of his children, and he would positively beam when he spoke about his grandchildren and their accomplishments!
We are so fortunate to have shared Bob's friendship, and we will fondly remember all our good times together.
"Swing Sweetly", Bob

Please accept condolences on behalf of my family on Robert's passing. I remember him quite well from those wonder years,('Mr. Grant', to me) way back when on olde Gloucester Crescent. My father especially told me of conversations he enjoyed with Robert in the much later years likely due to their proximity, age, both having become widowers and perhaps their common background. (Loyalist, RCAF) They were a grand generation.

George, Clive, Allan, Cathy- Please accept my condolences on your father's passing. I recall with fondness his trips back east. He was a cheerful and kind person and I know how proud his parents (my grandparents) were of his many achievements. Dawn

George....it was an honor to spend a few hours chatting with your father at the hospital a few days before his passing. Having grown uo down the street from you in Glamorgan, there were lots of great memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your brothers and sister.

George, Allan, Clive, Cathy --

I was saddened to hear of your father's passing. We both worked for Marathon Oil Co. in Calgary after Bob joined them in 1952. He was a good friend and after retirement we kept in touch with regular phone calls. I'll miss those talks and reminiscing.

I have great memories of growing up on Gloucester Cres across the street from your family. Your dad and mom knew us all so well. Their happy greetings from the front lawn will never be forgotten. We were all very fortunate to grow up in that environment with great parents and neighbors .

Bob was a kind, friendly, and cheerful presence during the last six years we were next door neighbours. We continue to look for his familiar silhouette, in his favourite easy chair in the front window. Bob was a good, decent man and he will be missed. Spring and the garden just will not be the same without him.

Bob and I were old Navy chums. I met him in 1944 when we both served at Peregrine. We maintained contact when the war ended and made it a point to speak by telephone every Memorial Day. In fact I telephoned him November 11 but was unsuccessful in reaching him. His son, Clive, informed me of his father's passing. I will miss him and will pray for his eternal rest. God Bless Him!
