It's very difficult to lose such an extrodinary person at such a young age. An amazing person and an amazing teammate to all the other Yukon Women's Hockey National Champions. We're all better for having known her.
Susan was such a beautiful person! I feel blessed to have known her through women's hockey in Whitehorse. She was a pretty good hockey player! The world is a better place because of her and she will be dearly missed! I wished I could have come to her memorial service in Whitehorse. My condolences to the Thompson family.
Think of her often. Memories of what was and what could have been. My condolences to the family.

My deepest condolences to Susan's family and her many friends. I am proud to have been one of them. Susan was an inspiration, fun filled and dedicated to her passions in life. I rarely saw her without a smile and she seemed to have time for everyone. I will miss her presence in the world, her integrity and her spirit. May she go on to new adventures.
In the early 1970s,Triwwod's first girls soccer team included some top young female athletes, but none could match Susan's sheer enthusiam for rhe game and for life. And I still remember a game in Vancouver, during which three defenders could not stop Susan's attacks down the right wing.
And in her later years, this same sense of living life to the fullest was surely the basis of her work in
Africa developing fish farming and also introducing African women to the modern business world.
Goodbye,Susan, we shall not forget you.
I too share wonderful memories of Susan flying down the soccer field, leaving defenders in the dust. She hailed her old soccer coach (he of the Volvo)on the streets of Whitehorse a few years ago, and made his day. Susan will be greatly missed. Sincere condolences to the Thompson family.
Susan has always been a fond memory in my life. The walks home from elementory school, her dad and mine tying skates in cold change rooms, rides to soccer games in the back of the coaches Volvo, and most recently her support and efforts in trying to find my brother. I thank you Susan for bringing smiles, happy memories and support to my life. You will be thought of often and always with a smile.
I extend my condolences to friends Rick and Diane Thompson and their children Carly and Emily! Love to all the family and friends!
Susan put aside doubts and trials and went forward to take the road less travelled. She has made a difference. Her generosity, her open and easy smile and unerring friendship has lifted and carried many of us throughout her too short lifetime. We will love her and miss her always
Susan, could out run everyone, and score great goals on the soccer field. I have wonderful memories of those days. Donna McLaren
Today I am sad but I can't help but be bouyed when I think of Susan's ever present smile.
It's difficult to express how sad my mother and I are to hear of Susans passing, we will always remember the good old hockey times we shared with Susan and her family . Bobbie & Bea Cochrane
