Went through New Beginnings at Waverly December of 2004. Met Dick at the Christmas party and loved to listen to his wisdom about addiction and recovery. He told me I needed to surrender instead of retreat! With his and his daughter Diana's help, with me surrendering and turning my life over to God I have been clean and sober for 12 years! Thank you Dick for the lives and families you helped restore. You will be missed.

When I young, Dick would be at our house alot because Dick and my brothers, Art and Carl, were friends. He would tease me and I thought he was the coolest. Love to Dick and the family.

I worked with Dick in the mid's 70's when he was director of the Mile High Council on Alcoholism and I was field director for the National Council on Alcoholism. He was caring, giving, and funny. His professional accomplishments speak for themselves . . . but his kindness and love for those still sick and suffering set him apart. He leaves behind a legacy of hope!
