We were shocked and very saddened to hear of Jackie's passing. While I don't really remember her during our younger years, we had grown close in the past 10 years of her visiting KC. We brightened each others lives when she stayed with us. And, she gave me peace of mind by staying with us when Steph came home from 'Shady Pines' a few years ago. We talked a few times a month and enjoyed receiving her letters and cards. Jackie had a big heart and will be missed by her KC family. I'm sorry we cannot make the service, but she will remain in our hearts and minds forever.

I don't know if you have heard of how cardinals are a way that people who have passed communicate that they are okay to loved ones. If you haven't, google it...there is something to this. The morning after Jackie passed, I was looking out the window and saw a robin. I thought to myself, 'I haven't seen a cardinal yet this year.'. Within 5 seconds, one flew up and rested on the tree outside of my window, then flew away. I believe it was a sign from Jackie that she is okay. I expect it was a joyous reunion with her mom, dad, and granddaughter.

Shawn, Lisa, grandkids, and great-grandkids, I hope you all know how much she loved ALL of you. Keep an eye out for the cardinals.
