I was sad to hear of Mr. Fox's passing and hope his family and wife, Carol, are doing okay. My family grew up next door to the Foxes and were in and out of each orher's homes constantly. As a child I was a little afraid of Mr. Fox, and then I got to know him as I grew older and discovered what a remarkable and wonderful man he was. He and my dad sang in the barbershop quartet every Pioneer Day in Florence and it was such a kick to see them having fun. When I think of him, I see him laughing as that's how I remember him--an adventurous spirit who got as much as possible out of life, valuing family and friends above all else. Rest in peace, Mr. Fox.

I am sending this message from the entire Maggard family. John will be truly missed. I have many memories of John when I lived with Theo Smith. He was a true friend to her and he was always a joy to be around. Our condolences to the whole family.
