I consider Martha one of my first teaching mentors. She was a kind caring lady. My sympathy to the family.

Ms Gafford was one of my favorite teachers at Penrose Elementary. I have thought about all the Gafford sisters throughout the years, they were all really neat ladies. Rest in Peace Ms Martha Gafford.

My sincere sympathy to Miss Martha's family and friends. She and her sisters were such blessings to both my mother and myself - both at school and at church. She was a wonderful teacher and just a special lady. May she rest in peace and God continue bless you all at this time.

Prayers and thoughts sent to the family. Martha was one of my teachers at the elementary school in Penrose. I also attended the Friends Church in Penrose when the sisters were all there. I'll never forget their beautiful hearts and voices!! My mom went to school with Fannie--(Carlene Hines Walt) God bless you all!!
