Thank you for the kind wishes. I posted another entry before I was able to read all of your postings. Dad was a great guy. Tough and direct, but I learned a lot from my father. I miss him very much and wish I could drive up to Lakewood for one more,(best of 5 ok best of 7), pool games. I have a great memory of eating breakfast at a restaurant back by our cabin in Caneadea. Two young kids where playing pool and noticed dad and I watching. In a cocky manor the kids challenged us to a game. Dad and I didn't let them sink 1 ball!!! We walked out after one game looking at the "kids" red faces! Good times!

Dad's funeral really was a celebration of his life. Tears where limited as we remembere who he was, instead of the fact he was no longer with us. There was a lot of support, and a lot of people that had memories of dad.
Thanks for reading,

Bill was a friend of mine back in the 1950's when I was a teenager delivering the Buffalo (NY) News to his house on East Amherst Street. He often told me about his experiences in the US Navy. I often thought of him and wondered what happened to this great guy....
