My deepest condolences for your loss.
I have many fond memories of the Schreiner family.
The obituary mentioned Bill's sense of humor. I remember returning home one evening to find our garden hose woven into the railings on our front porch so that we couldn't get to the front door. While my father was untangling the hose Bill came over and admitted that he and Ivar Larsen from across the street were the pranksters. Then they hatched another scheme. Using ashes to blacken Bill's eyes and ketchup under his nose he returned home and told Lydia "Emanuel sure doesn't know how to take a joke". He had to take the phone away from Lydia as she was dialing the police.

Joyce, Phillip and David,
Esther Roth wanted me to tell you guys what a great job you all did taking care of your parents. And I have so many memories of the times we had on Kalamath street growing up. I always felt like I had many moms and dads (all the moms and dads on the block). Thank you for sharing yours.
Denise (Roth) Wehrer
