Anne Lamoreaux Obituary

Anne Marie
Lamoreaux
age 97, died Feb. 20, 2015 after a brief illness. She had lived in Canton most of her life moving to Bradford, Pa. in 2003. Anne was a 1935 graduate of McKinley High School and former co-owner of Lamoreaux Realty. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter Rosary Society, Canton Grow and Show Garden Center, WBCCI Akron Unit of the Airstream Travel Club, YMCA Art Class, Canton Bowling Thursday Nit Mix League, and American Legion Auxiliary. Anne had served as a Presiding Judge for the Stark County Board of Elections and volunteered at Canton Filter Center.
Preceded in death her husband of 62 years, James Lamoreaux in 2002, parents, Harry and Anna (Organist) Packa, sisters, Dorothy Irey and Laura Hofacre and brothers, Harry, Robert, Louis, Richard and Edward Packa. Survived by daughter, Trisha Morris of Bradford, Pa.; six grandchildren, Erica Whitmer of Kent, Tess (Sal) DiTommaso of Columbus, Clifford (Lisa) Whitmer of Burke, Va., Shawn (Jen) Morris of Punxsutawney, Pa., Tasha Solano of Lewiston, N.Y. and Arron (Alicia) Morris of Paintsville, Ky.; and four great-grandchildren, Kevin Solano, Devin and Julia Whitmer and Parker Morris.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Father Edward Beneleit officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4-6 p.m. Condolences may be made to:
