Betty May Johnson 1939-2017
age 78, formerly of Jackson Twp., passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Harbor Healthcare Center in Ironton, Ohio. She was born March 25, 1939, in McDermott, Ohio, the daughter of the late Leroy and Olga (Koch) Fulk. Betty was a 1958 graduate of Ashland Senior High School in Ashland, KY.
She lived in Jackson Twp. for 29 years and was a member of Calvary Chapel, she returned to Ashland, Ky. in 1999, was an active member of First United Methodist Church.
Betty May Johnson is survived by her son and daughter- in-law, Leonard and Kristie Johnson of Ashland, KY; daughter, Aletha Irwin of Alexandria, Ohio; five granddaughters: Nikki (Kenny), Abey, Orion, Lyra, Aja; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Johnson (2001); siblings, Robert Fulk, Kenneth Fulk, Loma Childers; son-in-law, David Irwin.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017, at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., at 11 a.m., with Rev. Richard LaPehn officiating. Calling hours will be an hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial to follow the service at Fairview Gardens in Jewett, Ohio. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The First United Methodist Church, 1811 Carter Ave., Ashland, Ky. 41101. Condolences to the family may be made at:
