I remember seeing Darren on television, during, the much anticipated banning of "Don't ask, Don't tell celebration. I was in awe of his presence, his intelligence, and his love for all of us. I am saddened by his passing and I grieve with all of you. I too have suffered the loss of my brother Tony this year. A wonderful brother, Dad, husband and Friend. My heart breaks for you all. What a wonderful soul, and a loss for our country!! How proud you all must be.

It is with sincere optimism that our society recognizes that heroes are of all colors, religions, genders, and yes orientation. One of Mr. Manzellma's greatest legacy of valor will be seen as his strength to stand up against extreme adversity to make known what was in his heart. Every two decades, it seems that someone must take a stand to progressively shed light as to what our Civil Rights, Constitutional Rights and Personal Rights must stand for in an ever changing World.

Comdolences to the family and a true expression of thanks to Mr. Manzellma for his contributions.

Peace Be With You, Sir.
