Mrs. LaHue Donald Lahue was my algebra I and Algebra II teacher at Hoover High School in the late 1950s. He played a major role in my becoming a mathematics teacher. May the thoughts and prayers of so many people whose lives Donald touched be of comfort to you and your family.

To the family of Mr Lahue. I was privleged to be taught by his mother, Hazel over 50 years ago. I am sure this man was as wonderful as the best teacher I ever had in school. I thank her often for her support. It is a great legacy for your family. My condolences to your family.

Mr. LaHue (See? I still cannot call him "Don".) was a staff member at Hoover High during the 1960s who exemplified kindness, fairness, and caring for ALL of the students. What a fine, fine man he was.
They just don't make them like that anymore! Bless your family during this
time of sorrow.

LaHue Family, it was our privilege to have grown up knowing you and your Dad. The bond of friendship between our fathers was deep and stretched beyond the miles that separated them. May you take comfort in the knowledge that your Dad lived a full life and influenced many students and fellow teachers. He will be missed and yet we can rejoice in his graduation into eternal life.

Don LaHue was my math teacher at North Canton High School during my freshman year. He was one of the finest teachers that I have ever known. His family should know that virtually everyone treasures their memories of him.

Dear Lahue Family,
My first "official" meeting with Don was delayed a few years and was at a funeral service for a husband of a former teacher at Hoover High. After relating that I almost made it down to his office one time after being thrown out of class my senior year by a particular teacher, (who upon thinking better of his actions ran after me and stopped me), Don replied, "Well, you must have been one of the good ones, I don't remember you at all!" High praise for someone who stayed out of trouble as much as possible in high school!
I was so sorry to hear of your loss, while at the same time I know that he is now in a much better place.

In his vocation, Don taught students. In the way he lived his life, he taught us all the values of duty, honor, economy, courage, service, love of family, love of country, and above all, responsibility for oneself. Don LaHue was a charter member of "The Greatest Generation." Don's clarity of purpose and exceptional modesty belied his lifelong intellectual curiosity and accomplishment. Don, you have helped me, my family and the rest of us more than you can know; I will truly miss you.
"The development of a sense of humor and to see things in a humorous light is some kind of a trick learned while mastering the art of living.”

Marilyn & family,

Had Don for many classes years ago. He was a fine teacher and a find man. In more recent times, always enjoying seeing and talking with him whenever our paths crossed. May God surround you with His peace and love.

Dear Aunt Marilyn & Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. We will surely miss Uncle Don's godly example, his great courage in the face of adversity and his gentle, soft-hearted spirit.
It was always a delight to be in his company and the thought of him delighting in the presence of the Lord, finally pain-free, takes one's breath away! In his death he finds new life and we will all cherish his memory as we await our joyous reunion. God's peace be with you during this difficult time.
With our love & constant prayers,
Bill & Judy
