Scott and family,
Although words are few that express the heartfelt sorrow for your deep and personal loss, I can say that I understand as I lost my dad two years ago. I think of him everyday and miss him immensely. One man expressed this about how it felt to lose his dad: "It is like looking out a picture window at a mountain range, and the next day looking out that same window and finding one of the mountains gone." Says it all. Your dad was a wonderful man. A light has certainly gone out. May God sustain you and your family as you grieve the loss of a father, father-in-law and grandfather. Hold your memories close. Keeping you in my prayers, Sharon Bolitho

Dear Ruth, Scott and Sharon, our sincere condolences on the passing of Eugene, his well written obituary reflects his outstanding accomplishments in life. Eugene and I were "half first cousins". His mother, Rowena and my mother Clotilde Amelia were half sisters. She remembers Gene when he came up to Orillia to stay at "Navy Nook" cottage on Orchard Point.

Dear Ruth, Scott and Sharon,
I had the pleasure of working for and with this fine jurist. It seems like a lifetime ago I worked with Judge from his law office, to the Recorder's office and part of his Municipal Judge career. He was a man who believed in being firm and fair in his sentencing. He was approachable and had a true caring for his fellow man. I'm so happy that he lived a good life and was able to enjoy some of his retirement! From prisoner of war to his day of service to his community...he leaves such a wonderful legacy. May God hold all of you in the palm of his hands as you celebrate Gene's life!
