Frieda, age 93, passed peacefully into eternity surrounded by her loving family.
Frieda is survived by her daughters; Anita (Larry) Ehmer and Walli (Carl) Feiler; four grandchildren Larry Joseph (Laurrie) Ehmer , Tracie (Vaughn) Funk , Niki Ripple and Christie (Todd) Morin. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren: Angie, Jessie, Matt, Joey, Cassie, Kyle, Caleb and Danielle; eight great-great grandchildren; her sisters: Helga Weigel and Inge Gonzales; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and blended family members.
Frieda was born on March 10, 1924 in Essen, Germany, to the late Adam and Hedwig Gritzan. She completed an apprenticeship as a cook. The family immigrated to the U.S. in 1957. She was employed by the former Perry Rubber factory as a cook and continued to work at this facility until her retirement. Frieda loved to travel, sing in the church choir and enjoyed fellowship with family and church members. Her family still enjoys her hand knitted slippers. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Harbor Light Hospice and Amherst Meadows Assisted Living for the excellent care they provided.
In accordance with Frieda's wishes cremation has taken place.
