Margaretta "Corky" Frankeberger
1928-2018
age 90, of South Euclid, Ohio, passed away on May 7, 2018. She was born in Massillon, Ohio, on Jan. 22, 1928 to the late Jim and Rhea Swihart. She was a 1946 graduate of Washington High School, where she was in the Tiger Swing Band under George "Red" Bird. She married Gilbert W. Frankeberger and they shared almost 50 years until his passing in 2001.
Corky's musical career included; Musical Majorette with the Cleveland Browns, Hormel Girl's Radio Show and Freddie Schaffer's All-Girl Orchestra.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gil and Margarita Frankeberger and her grandsons ,Spencer and Hunter Frankeberger. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy and her sister, Phyllis.
A Celebration of Corky's life will be held at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Massillon Cemetery. Messages of sympathy and support can be sent to
