Susan G. Penland Bragg
62, passed away on Sept. 21, 2017. She was born on Jan. 25, 1955 the daughter of the late Robert & Euna Penland. Susie graduated in 1973 from Canton South High School. She was employed with Fitness Quest and Dollar Tree for many years. Susie enjoyed her music both Oldies and Country Music. She had many accomplishments but her greatest was her love of family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Robert Penland, Fred Penland and Rex Penland; and the love of her life for over 25 years, Damond C. Bragg. Susie is survived by her loving family, daughter Megan (Tim Shultz) Bragg; grandson Skyler Shultz; granddaughter Leah Shultz; brothers John R. Penland and Randal (Barbara) Penland; sisters, H. Marie (Charles) Tabellion, Patricia (Rodney) Tyler and Paula Penland; sister-in-law, Irene Penland; special friend Lou (Skip) Large; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5p.m. to 8p.m. at Reed Funeral Home (CANTON CHAPEL) and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12p.m. where services will be held at 12 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Stuckey officiating. Megan, was so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. I went to Canton South with her for a while and worked with her at Consumer Publishing. She was always cheerful and happy, she will be missed.
