Terry Iddings Obituary

Terry E. Iddings
64, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 after a brave nine month battle with brain cancer. Born and raised in Sebring, Ohio, he had been a Canal Fulton resident for the past 17 years. Terry graduated from Mount Union College in 1972 with a Bachelor's in Music and from Youngstown State University with a Master's in Education. He retired from the Sebring Local Schools after 35 years of service as a band director, music teacher and science teacher. Terry was also a member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Massillon where he served on the vestry, was an acolyte director and sang in the choir.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Thelma Iddings. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Laura (Ruthrauff); children, Susan (David) Colman, Jonathan (Angela) Iddings, Sarah (Jeffrey) Lang, K.C. Ries and Chris Ries; five grandchildren, Zane, Charlotte, Evelyn, Grady and Vivienne.
Funeral Services will be held SATURDAY, March 29, 2014, 11 a.m, at St. Timothy Episcopal Church, 226 Third St. SE, Massillon. Calling Hours FRIDAY 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton). I am so sorry to hear about Terry passing away , every time I saw Terry at church ,he always seemed so strong . I knew he would never surrender to his illness , but I do know he surrendered to God . I went to college with Terry and we were good friends. I knew he had been ill but I am still saddened to hear of his passing. I am glad that his suffering is over and I know God will be with you at this difficult time.

So sorry to hear about Terry's passing. I worked with him for nine years while I was in the Band Boosters( I had two children in the band). He was a sweet person. My son said he made band camp fun. You and your family are in our prayers.
