During this time of sorrow may you be comforted by Gods promise that he is near to those that are broken at heart. And those crushed in spirit he saves. (Ps 34: 18) May the thought of seeing your loved one again bring you peace. Acts24:15 may Jehvoah continue to strengthen and comfort your friends and family during this time of sorrow.

The Americal Division was at the forefront of the fighting in the South Pacific and Mr Mounsey's family can be very proud. If his papers show that he was assigned to the 164th Infantry, we would be pleased to list his name on the Last Roll Call in our newsmagazine -- please let us know. Our sympathies. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Some 40 years ago Mr. Mounsey made it possible for a group of urban youngsters associated with Denver Boys and
Denver Girls Inc. to have a backpacking experience with the Wilderness Society in Vail's Gore range. I am forever grateful for that weekend, which has given me a life long appreciation of the outdoors. Sometimes you never know the impact a loved one can have. You have my sympathy for your loss.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy. Although I only briefly knew William Bird Mounsey through his daughter Diana he was one of the influential people that led to my own life of adventurous travel.
